Here we are to the first Friday report.
The goal I set:
My goal for this week is to improve our project accounting system: I have implemented the synchronization between our general accounting tool (based on Reviso) and AirTable. I will ask our Admin this week to classify the expenses as fixed or project specific. Based on this, we will know our monthly fixed expenses.
I will also ask our new Account Manager to start reflecting on evaluating the profitability of projects.
Did I accomplish that?
- I have asked our Admin to classify the expenses
- I ask our PM and not our AM to evaluate the profitability, but I also discussed it with the AM
Additionally I have also looked into the actual data to verify if they are correct.
It is taking us such a long time to get financial data that we can feel confident. I need to learn how to bring home these projects and follow up. This is getting more and more important as our expenses increase, but also to feel reassured and make rationale decision instead of just taking the plunge.
